Governor of Penza region visits a new complex of «Rusmolco»

In the course of the working trip to Nizhnelomovskiy raion Vasiliy Bochkarev viewed a new complex of «Rusmolco» in Arshinovka. The Governor expressed a high opinion of the work done on execution of one of the largest projects in the country.

On Monday on June 30, 2014 the Governor of the Penza region Vasiliy Bochkarev made a working trip to Nizhnelomovskiy raion. During the trip the Head of the region visited a dairy farm of LLC MC "Rusmolco" for 4600 stalls in village Arshinovka. Facilities of the new daily farm were shown to the first person of the region by Deputy CEO of «Rusmolco» Vladimir Reznichenko.

The guests acquainted themselves with construction progress of the calf village for rearing pedigree heifers. Facilities of the calf village will hold heifers aged 2 - 6 months. «By now one of the calf barns has been commissioned, - reported Deputy CEO Vladimir Reznichenko to the Governor, - on July 15 we are planning to commission the second barn. Before November 1 all the 5 barns will be commissioned».

The Governor also visited the pen where 1800 heifers from Holland are being quarantined. Herd expansion at one of the biggest dairy farms in the country started in October last year and continues in compliance with the schedule. As of today total livestock numbers amounts to 3800 heads, including 3350 cows and heifers. Specialists of "Rusmolco" expect to produce 30 liters of milk per day or up to 10 000 liters of milk per year per cow.

The company is planning to complete construction and landscaping of the complex in Arshinovka by beginning of September.

The Governor Vasiliy Bochkarev pointed out high production potential of the company and quality of products. "Today the project in village Arshinovka is the biggest and the most high-technology project both in Russia and in Europe. The new complex standing in stark contrast to existing dairy farms of the country is designed to produce 120 tons of milk per day or 46 000 tons of milk per year. This farm is unique in its scale and quality of products", - said Vasiliy Bochkarev.

It is a reminder that construction of the complex for 4600 heads of milking herd started in summer of 2012 is carried out within the framework of the strategic partnership between Olam International and "Rusmolco" that provides for investment of USD 400 mln at the first stage before 2015 and creation of a dairy herd of 20 thousand heads.

The project in village Arshinovka is the first of the production facilities planned by the partners. The new complex standing in stark contrast to existing dairy farms of the country is designed to produce 120 tons of milk per day or 46 000 tons of milk per year. This farm is unique in its scale. The facility occupies an area of 45 ha. It includes 5 cow barns, 2 milking sheds, a big and complicated manure removing system, a calf village, storehouses for feed and a technological park.
