The CEO of MC «Rusmolco» Sumanta Kumar De speaks at Agribusiness forum «Development of intertrade and investments – the key to sustainable agricultural development of BRICS countries».

On October 8, 2015 the CEO of MC «Rusmolco» Sumanta Kumar De spoke at the Agribusiness forum «Development of intertrade and investments – the key to sustainable agricultural development of BRICS countries». This became the key event of the «Golden Autumn» exhibition which is taking place at the «Crocus City Hall» now.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation А.N. Tkachev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Federative Republic of Brazil Katia Abreu, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China Qu Dongyu participated in the forum. Two large groups of companies represented the Russian agricultural business: Rusagro Group and Rusmolco Group.
    

In his speech to the guests of the forum, the head of one of the largest milk producers in the country explained the reasons that had induced the largest food producer Olam International to come to Russia. Sumanta Kumar De emphasized that despite the tough current situation he is sure about the future of the Russian agriculture.

“We have been doing business in Russia for several years and we understood that Russia is a cost competitive producer of several things related to milk production. We believe that Russia can be a cost competitive producer of grains, of feed crops and operating costs of running dairy. So, it can be a surprise for many people, but I do believe that the cost of milk production in Russia is going to become competitive to the rest of the world in the very short period of time” – said Sumanta Kumar De. 
    

In the course of the work of the «Golden Autumn» - 2015 the CEO of MC «Rusmolco» also visited the exhibition stand of «Souzmoloko» that showed presentations of the company. He also got acquainted with the exposition of the Penza region that contained the current projects of «Rusmolco» worth a total of  RUR 5,6 billion: commercial dairy farm for 4600 cows with a breeding center for 5200 heifers in the Penza region,  elevator for 100 000 tons in Pachelma area, and a seed production plant in Bashmakovo area.
