Rusmolco increases procurement of fodder by 1,5 times

The Russian Dairy Company is the first in the Penza region started laying in of feeds. The main objective of that is to provide the cattle with own feed.

At the end of May, Rusmolco began laying in of feeds. The farms of the holding company started haylage making on May 29 and haymaking - on June 6. All the forage harvesters are working on the fields.

By the moment, Rusmolco has already harvested more than 3 800 hectares of perennial grasses for haylage (78% of the plan) and made 15,5 thousand tons of haylage mass. The average yield is 4 tons / ha.

Additionnally, the farms have mown 660 hectares of grass for hay and pressed 65 tons of hay.

Rusmolco plans to prepare about 9 000 tons of hay and 95 000 tons of haylage. That exceeds the performance of the last year by 1,5 times. The growth of indicators relates to increased number of livestock in view of the launch of Arshivovka farm in autumn 2014.
