RUSMOLCO has started spring sowing campaign

Last week Rusmolco started a spring sowing campaign. Field works are at full speed. The company expects to complete the sowing as soon as possible. This year Rusmolco plans to sow 43 500 hectares of feed, grain and commercial crops. That is 10% higher than in 2015.

In 2016, the Russian Dairy Company revised a scheme of crop rotation in favour of expansion of the area for commercial crops. The company increases lupine seeding almost by 8 times. The crop is a valuable source of protein, and it will be used for the production of feed for own livestock. In addition, it is planned to increase by 50% the area for sugar beet, which Rusmolco is going to sell as commercial crop.

Rusmolco has prepared thoroughly for sowing season. The transport fleet of the company is considerably expanded: the company used more than 250 million rubles to purchase agricultural machinery. All the required nitrogen and complex fertilizers and seeds are bought in full.

In 2016, Rusmolco plans to import 1000 heifers and, additionally, to get 2400 animals from its own reproduction center. Following the results of the agricultural year, Rusmolco expects to provide the growing livestock with its own feeds. The feedstock will be formed for 18 months. Other part of the harvest will be sold.
