Rusmolco's seed plant got a status of a seed breeding farm

OOO Pachelmskoe khozyaystvo (one of the business units of Rusmolco) is included in the single register of seed farms of the Russian Federation and got the right to sell the seed material to other enterprises. The certificate of the quality was handed over by representatives of the Russian Agricultural Centre on August 1, 2017.

This certificate gives the company an official right to sell high quality seeds. The certificate is valid for five years. Within this period the activity of the seed plant will be monitored by inspectors of the Russian Agricultural Centre. 

In July 2017, the Russian Agricultural Centre jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture and representatives of a scientific community assessed the Rusmolco’s seed plant for compliance to the voluntary certification. The commission on-site checked an availability of the material and technical base, a staffing level of the agronomic service, conditions of the grain stores, and technology compliance of the crops.

Based on the results of the assessment, the Rusmolco’s seed plant received the maximum number of points among all the seed breeding farms in the Penza region.

Rusmolco’s seed plant in the Bashmakovo area is one of the most important projects of the company built in cooperation with Singaporean Olam International. The official commissioning of the plant is scheduled for September 2017.

The capacity of the plant allows preparing seeds of various crops, carrying out a complete cycle of cleaning, calibration and chemical treatment of seeds. The production capacity of the plant is 10 tons per hour, which is enough to meet in full the company’s needs for seeds, and will give an opportunity to prepare seeds for third-party organizations.

The system of voluntary certification of the Russian Agricultural Centre was installed in 2012. The activity of the Russian Agricultural Centre is aimed at improving the quality of the seed market and excluding the turnover of falsified seed lots. Inclusion in the register is fulfilled on the basis of certification of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in the production, processing, packaging and sales of seeds.

As of now, in the Penza region there are 14 enterprises included in the register under the system of voluntary certification of the Russian Agricultural Centre.
