Rusmolco gathered over 1 000 hectares of soybeans for seeds

The Russian Dairy Company (a subsidiary of Olam International Singapore), a leading producer of raw milk in the Penza region and one of the largest in the country, has completed the harvesting of soybean seed crops from the area of over 1 000 hectares. The yield reached 2,1 tons per hectare.

The total volume of the stock will be 2 200 tons of the seed material, of which 500 tons will be used internally – at Rusmolco’s farms; and 1 600 tons externally – for commercial purposes.

The company has already prepared more than 1 000 tons of soybean seeds.  The works are going on.

The seed material is prepared at the company's seed plant with a capacity of 10 tons per hour or 25 000 tons per year. The plant is located in the Bashmakovo area of the Penza region. The plant is equipped with modern European technological equipment. The quality of seeds is controlled in a laboratory, based on the territory of the plant. All the processes at the plant are 100% computerized. The high technology ensures the production of high-quality seeds without rogues but with high sowing conditions.

Rusmolco presented the seed business as a separate activity in 2017. The own seed production allows to provide the holding's farms with high-quality seed material, as well as to produce and supply seeds to enterprises of the Penza region and other subjects of the Russian Federation.

The company is planning to develop partnerships with major soybean originators and grow promising high – yielding varieties with the highest quality indicators.
