Rusmolco will invest 100 million rubles in the laboratory

The Russian Dairy Company is completing the construction of a new testing laboratory in the Penza region. Investments in the project will amount to more than 100 million rubles. The laboratory will be built as a part of the development of the company's own Quality Management Center. 

The priority task of the laboratory will be the implementation of veterinary control of livestock, sanitary and microbiological control of milk, feed, auxiliary materials, sanitary and hygienic condition of production facilities, technological equipment, inventory, containers, etc. by ensuring the high quality of laboratory research which is possible only through the introduction of the principles of high competence, impartiality, and stability in work.

The new laboratory will use such advanced methods of analysis as PCR diagnostics, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, HPLC with mass spectrometric detection, atomic absorption method, etc.

To ensure a high level of biosafety, Rusmolco conducts laboratory control at all stages of production: from the arrival of animals, feed, and materials to the release of finished products. Now, in order to control biosafety, the company is forced to turn to laboratories in neighboring regions. The process is stretched out in time, which becomes critical for the business. It is the creation of the own laboratory that will solve this problem. 

The project will be implemented in several stages. The first stage involves equipping the microbiological department. It will consist of areas of parasitology, classical bacteriology, serology with ELISA methods and the department of PCR diagnostics. The completion of the first stage of the construction of the laboratory is planned to be carried out in the first quarter of 2024.

At the second stage, a physico-chemical department will be launched, which will include a laboratory of physical and chemical research and a laboratory of instrumental methods of analysis.

At present, finishing works inside the laboratory and the commissioning of technological equipment have been completed.  The company has started licensing its activities in order to comply with all the requirements of the current legislation.

The declared methods involve the participation of qualified specialists. Thus, all the employees of the laboratory will be trained in leading specialized institutions of the Russian Federation.

Short reminder: the Quality Management Center was established in Rusmolco in 2023 in order to prevent biological risks, as well as to produce products that meet the requirements of regulatory documentation, veterinary and sanitary standards.
