«Rusmolco» filled up considerably the store of feed for livestock

«Russian dairy company» is completing works on feed gathering – the laying-in of silage entered into the final stage. The farms of “Rusmolco” continue to put up high moisture corn and they started to harvest sunflower. All the agricultural works are carried out in the scheduled terms.

“Rusmolco” is finishing preparation of feed store for the own livestock provision. At the moment, 49 000 tons of corn silage are put up into silage trenches. It means 90% out of the planned figure.

For October 9, 500 ha of corn are harvested for grain. An average harvest yield within the holding company is 81 centers/ha. 4500 tons of high moisture corn are made already. The laying-in of all the types of fodder goes on in accordance with the schedule of works for feed making.

To the company specialists’ mind, an average harvest yield for all the fodders allows to make enough feed store for the own livestock provision.

We can also note that sugar beet harvest comes up to the final stage as well. 818 ha are already gathered in; this is 70% of the plan.

The farms of “Rusmolco” began to harvest sunflower. By results of the harvest of the first 140 ha sunflower yield is 23 centers/ha.

“Russian dairy company” (“Rusmolco”) – is a leading manufacturer of milk in Penza region and one of the largest players on the dairy market of the country. Currently, “Rusmolco” comprises nine farms, which are specialized in dairy cattle breeding and crop production. The area of the governed lands is 140 thousand hectares, the livestock population for August 1, 2012 – over 7,8 thousand heads, of which 4,4 thousand are cows.

In 2007 “Rusmolco” commenced its operations in the region with renovations and reconstructions of the old dairy farms, currently “Rusmolco” has set a priority for constructing new global-level dairy complexes. Now, the company has two projects implemented in the Penza region from scratch: an industrial complex for 3600 heads at Narovchatsky raion and a modern farm for 1200 heads in Kuznetsky raion. In 2012 company began constructing the largest dairy complex in Nezhnelomovsky raion with a planned capacity of 120 tons of milk per day. Currently, there are no similar complexes in the country.

On January 30, 2012 “Rusmolco” signed a cooperation agreement with a company “Olam”, one of the global leaders in agriculture, in order to develop the dairy cattle breeding and crop production in Penza region. The parties intend to invest up to 400 million U.S. dollars until year 2015 within the frame of the first phase of implementing a development program. It is planned to create a dairy herd of 20 thousand heads within this timeframe, as well as increase the area of arable lands up to 106 thousand ha.
