Rusmolco celebrated its five-year anniversary

«The Russian dairy company» («Rusmolco») celebrated its five-year anniversary. It took the company a short period of time to become one of the leading milk producers in Russia. The company claims to be one of the first ten world leaders of the industry.

«Rusmolco» reported on what work has been done in the last five years. The company started as a regional milk producer and has successfully turned into a big international company. «Rusmolco» does not stop at its achievements and is moving towards its main goal. Specialists forecast that in the next five years «Rusmolco» will be one of the ten world leaders of milk production.

From the very beginning «Rusmolco» standards of milk production have corresponded to the highest global standards. The company started with the reconstruction of the old farms and then focused on construction of new production facilities. At the moment «Rusmolco» has two big production facilities for 3600 and 1200 heads of milk herd. Modern industrial farms are equipped with the equipment of leading European producers. The milk herd is made up of Holstein-Friesian cows which have the best genetic potential.

The company implemented the leading agricultural technologies, having trained its employees how to work in modern agriculture. The company management encourages employee training and retraining at «Rusmolco» production units directly. The combination of these factors allows the company to produce about 100 tons per day.

For the five year period «Rusmolco» has multiplied its key production indicators. Thus, since 2008 gross milk production has quadrupled and in 2012 it is 30000 tons. During the whole period there has been a stable increase of livestock. At the moment the livestock is 10 000 heads of cattle.

Today «Rusmolco» faces serious challenges. In January 2012 «Rusmolco» has become the biggest Russian investor in agriculture and signed an unprecedented agreement worth 800 mln US dollars with Olam International. In the next few years the company will construct four unique milk production facilities. «Rusmolco» started the construction of the first production facility, with the capacity of 120 tons of milk per day, in village Arshinovka, Penza region. The company also plans to increase the dairy herd by 50000 heads. The herd will be one of the few biggest herds in the world. To provide the cows with their own forage the company will widen cultivated areas by 130000 ha. Having reached these indices «Rusmolco» will become the undisputed leader in the milk production market and will enter the top ten leaders of raw milk producers.
