Dairy farm for 1200 heads of milk cows in Kuznetsk district of Penza region

The dairy farm in Kuznetsk district was the first construction site of "Rusmolco." “The Russian dairy company” acquired this facility in a poor condition. The previous investor had frozen the project at the initial stage of construction. The project handed over to “The Russian dairy company” did not meet up-to-date requirements. The company's specialists carefully analyzed the project documentation, made major changes and resumed the work on the project in 2007. The designed capacity of the farm was increased from 800 to 1200 heads.

The farm in Kuznetsk district has two cow barns for 600 head each, a milking parlor, a maternity ward, and a calf village. All production facilities are equipped with modern European equipment. The farm started its operation in the spring of 2009, when the first 600 Holstein-Friesian heifers entered the farm.

The new herd differs greatly from the traditional Russian breeds in all respects. The milk yield reaches 25 kg per forage cow per day or nine tons per head per year. The design capacity of the farm in Kuznetsk district is 10000 tons of premium milk per year.

Extensive work carried out by specialists of "Rusmolco" during project implementation brought the farm into compliance with the stringent requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, applicable to breeders. As a result, in 2011 the farm in Kuznetsky district received the status of breeding farm and embarked on a plan of selection for breeding work. The company moved to a new, higher level of production and was able to sell pedigree cattle, which has a positive effect on the expansion of the productive livestock in Penza region.
