“Rusmolco” has finished a preparation for sowing

All farms of “Rusmolco” have finished a preparation for spring seeding operations. This year the area of land for tillage is 54 thousand hectares. Experts of the company expect to achieve average yield of 4.3 tons/ha.

In 2014 “Rusmolco” is going to begin seeding operations on the 25^th of April and finish till the 10^th of May. Due to the fact that last year 5 thousand hectares of perennial grasses  were successfully planted the area for tillage decreased to 54 thousand ha. 7 thousand ha will be as fallow.

The preparation for this sowing lasts during autumn-winter season. More than 1 thousand tons of seeds of soya, rape, sweet beet, barley, sunflower and spring wheat were purchased. Almost all seeds were purchased from import seller. Also more than 15 thousand tons of nitrogen and complex fertilizer were bought for the area of sowing for 54 thousand ha.

There are about 150 units of modern agricultural equipment such as mowers, tillage, trailers, mergers, tedders, harvesters, seeding and fodder machines.

“We are planning to have an average yield of 4.3 tons/ha, so it means -  3.6 tons/ha for grain crops, 43.2 tons/ha for sweet beet and 2 tons/ha for sunflower.” – said Vladimir Reznichenko, Deputy General Director of LLC “MC “Rusmolco”.  “This season meteorologists predict usual weather conditions for our zone, anomalous weather conditions are not expected. It will allow us to carry out the sowing campaign on time”.
